Sandblasting-of-plastic

Plastics, styrene, plexiglass, bakelite, polycarbonate sandblasting.

Plastic material is usually sprayed if:
- the workpiece is painted with other impurities that can be removed by grain cleaning.
- the workpiece must be prepared for bonding.
- Not all plastic can be sprayed, a test should be made.

 Soft plastic is non-dispersible (polyethylene, teflon silicone). Hard plastics (stirol, plexi, polycarbonate) can be machined with barriers. Though this applies to removing plastic body parts (eg bumper) paint.
